I noticed that there was a thread relating to which piece of equipment should be added to the Christmas list and I would like to do a follow up to that thread.

    So

This year I received golf balls and a new golf bag (taylormade r7). No clubs though.

    Anyone else

I bought a new pair of Footjoy golf shoes.
Bought some special brush lift tees.
On the look out for a good pair of water proofs at the moment.

Got me an elec trolley just before xmas and a new pair of shoes (Nikes, they're white tho so will keep em for the Spring and bare with the old wrecked ones while it's still crap out!)...

In the market for a budget-friendly Gap Wedge... (See thread somewhere below regarding my dilemma about which club to drop from my bag when i do eventually buy it!)...

Been playing golf "properly" (term used loosely!) for about 3yrs now. This year however, due to an improvement in work/financial/transport situation and the fact i'm joining Killeen (ten mins away regardless of traffic) I'm going to have more rounds than a hospital doctor... Man, I'm gonna play SOOO MUCH!!

I got some Srixon AD333 balls. Started using them last year and love them. Also got a practice chipping net thing which I might use in the garden. You know the sort of thing that no golfer would buy but get as presents from people who know you like golf??

Greenhorn: On the wedge hunt you should check out some of the uk based online sellers(pricebustergolf, county-golf, golf-online, etc..). You will get a v good deal on any of the top wedges even when you add shipping costs. Had a look in mcguirks and golfworks over the xmas and the prices are ridiculous.

Those vokey spin-milled wedges look seriously bitey! The milled finish looks nice and the grooves are just viscious!!

Cheers, might look into that - a mate got three lovely Cleveland wedges on ebay for I think €200 all in. He's a genius with them... I hate him...

Have one of those chipping nets myself - xmas pressie from the sis a coupla years back :D

My bag has got lighter this christmas! To the tune of about 12 - 15 balls, thanks to playing golf on the least golf friendly day of the christmas break.

I did get a voucher for golf works though, so now I need to decide whether to buy a new wedge or some new shoes. Shoes are most likely 'cos I won't feel bad in a few months time when they haven't transformed my game.

A dozen Nike One Platinum Balls half price at 29.99 in Elverys.

Got measured up and ordered a set of R7 TPs from McGuirks (so in theory not an addition, but soon to be!)

i used to sell rain gear in McGuirks Mister Anaarchy, be careful with proquip they do two suits a good one and a very cheap one, basically any suit that costs circa €300+ is a good one (that'd be the proquip silk touch, still way down the ladder when compared to others though), that'll include the Callaway Suits and Sunderlands top of the line, however the really best stuff is from Galvin Green. but you're talking big bucks approx €550 for the suit.

i picked up a Fusion ft3 10Deg reg shaft Driver and man so much reward for so little effort, i should have ditched the Stiff shaft years ago.
