PC Screen Goes Blank

    Hi All,

    When I start up my PC it starts up fine, all the numbers & stuff whizz by & then the windows label appears & it begins to load & after a min or so the thing just goes blank. The computer is still on tho.

    Any idea's??

    Oh Im using my latpod by the way now.

    Start it in Safe Mode and see what happens. Press F8 as the PC boots up and you'll get a menu with a few options. Choose Safe Mode and see if you can get into windows. It could just be that the resolution has been set to something out of the displayable range of the monitor.

    A few more specs would help. The last time I got a laptop for repair with this problem it was on a 4 year old Dell. The little button that turns off the screen when you close the lid was stuck down. It is usually located near one of the hinges.

    Jesus, sorry guys I know nothing about computers really so I couldnt give you any spec, all I know is its a custom built one.

    The problem is when it starts up it works away fine, loads up, the window's loading symbol appears and then after that it goes blank, computer still on just a black screen.

    Oh its not the laptop thats the problem its my PC, I ment Im now using the laptop for the interweb
