Nope, any abuse I've received has been direct.

How did you come across the email? Is it a common thing? :) It hasn't happened to me. If someone would have to keep something from me, instead of telling me to my face then I wouldn't worry a whole lot about it or the people involved.

Umm stumbled across an exchange in email which wasn't bitching but instead showed their complete misinterpretation of things that I had said. I don't really care because I don't really care for the other people involved. It was rather amusing.

So, Danger Mouse, now that you have this information and know what kind of people you're dealing with, have you thought of the kind of revenge you want to inflict upon them?

Not gonna inflict anything it's his opinion cant hold that against someone. Just not gonna bother talking to them anymore.

I twice came across a computer at work where someone had accessed their mail and forgot to log out. I didn't read any mail though. I just logged out. I suggest you do the same thing in future.

It may even have been a crime if you opened someone else's email.Though im not sure.

Yeah I came across an IM conversation someone was having before when I was sharing a flat. They'd left the client open when I went to use the PC. There was nothing real bad in it but I thought less of the person because they hadn't got the balls to say what was bothering them to my face. I was moving out the next week so I wasn't too concerned about it. Haven't talked to that person in 5 years now.

Fair enough, you don't need spastics like that as friends.

I can understand this. The email I found was like that - they had an issue because I actually say when people are bothering me rather than lie about it. If you don't like my honesty then **** off! I much prefer to say that I'm frustrated than keep it inside and then get angry for no reason which is what a lot of people do.

./edit.. I guess this means that I can't leave enough alone when I'm faced with it and will snoop. However I think that I gained an understanding of how I'm percieved by some people by reading what I read and don't hold what they've said against them.. They're entitled to their opinion too.

Post the email up till we have a gawk... i'll advise you on possible future proceedings then.:)

    T.Sc.

Not gonna post it up as it would'nt be right. One of my friends was abit annoyed with me for some reason (we're always fighting it's always been the way...lol) and she was asking this other guy why I was being an arsehole to her and then he just let loose on me for no reason. I was ****ing shocked reading it...Im wondering was there some other reason why he was bad mouthing me to my friend...I dont even know this guy that well let the truth be known, and only know him through her. Hmmmm what to do, what to do..lol

    PS
Found out she was drunk the other night and always starts on me when in this state but he was sober and has no excuse.

I'm too popular for this to happen. Even if someone disliked me (which they wouldn't) they never find another to bitch about me to, either because that would be impossible or they'd fear my army of peeps would turn on them.

hmm a thread couple months back had a post from me about my two housemates from last year (2005 if I write this post quickly). Who were (with me) best friends, all in the same course in university etc.

Then a girl became involved, and one of them went really really dark and scary. The result was some of the most evil back stabbing back talking actions I have ever been witnessed to.

The result the friendship is now in tatters, only I came out relatively unscathed. Due to my habit of saying to someones face if I have a problem with them.

anywho the majority of this violent saga took place over IM and emails, I remember just before moving out of the house I couldnt resist and had a look over the history of the IM's to see how much I came up.

Only once...I was so very sad. The only comment made about me was the evil friend thought I was bullying the nice friend. Which is laughable when he was the one who backstabbed him (twice).

I did have records of some these emails etc on my computer, but its been so long.

is the girl hot? its possible ur man is after her and is tryin to eliminate the competition, if ya know wat i mean!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,698 ✭✭✭✭BlitzKrieg

yes that is pretty much the reason. Excpt the competition, had already won and the dark scary friend struck out to break up his victory.

you were going to prank this guy using his PC. Was there anyone else involved in setting up this prank with you. If so, is it possible that you were being set up...... pranker being pranked so to speak.

    Can't say I have.

However, even if someone has been bitching about me I find my life is interesting and consuming enough that I don't have really the time or inclination to 'accidentally' 'come across' all this incriminating material the way some others seem to do.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 3,698 ✭✭✭InFront

Not exactly, the closest I came was sending a text about a friend to himself, instead of the intended recipient (his name was in my head when I was pressing send!). It was a fairly innocent bitching dialogue with his own interests at heart that he intercepted. Needless to say i apologised profusely, and as it happened things worked out quite well for everyone concerned.

Thank goodness it wasn't a girl though:eek: they tend to hold grudges more tenaciously.

You usually know who your friends are withouth having to scroll thru their personal mail. They don't sound like desirable buddies, but if truth be told neither do you. ;)

    "When Pranks Go Wrong!" :D:D

    Irony?
