Who wants a 2-4 player game of Battle Isle?

    * It works perfectly with Dosbox 0.65 set at cpu cycles 12000 (for me)
    * Perfect sound and midi.
    * Full animation and slick sound controls.
    * Best played in a window on your desktop.
    * Disk version is only 4Mb - It can be got on the underdogs website
    * PM me and we can get this baby under the road.
    * Play a turn - end it turn and save and email the save file.

This is the 1st level. (single player screen shot)

This shot shows 2 Blue tanks and a ranger(fast) went south and took out a platoon. Red the cpu will respond in kind. This game depends on experienced units to succeed. You need to use sapper units in big maps to shift your forces!

Found a great 2 player map? I can start the game going... any takers? This is an excellent made by James Tobler (he's an ace map designer who I played against back around '96 and '97)

Look at the map... waiting for a Royal War!

One more.... an excellent 3 player map... Called the Railroad. Good map. Also can be 2 player - top and bottom fight to each other. Highly experienced units by time of contact.

If only 2 players - I'm up for the Uk vs France map.

Another good alternative 2 player map is:

    Any favourites?

Right... I tested these maps last night. They work perfectly for multiplayer. Up to 6 players email turn based.

All you have to do is install BI2 and extract the map file and txt file to mis and eng folder. Hell, I'll do that and zip it up ready for play. Who's on?

Pick a map from here and I'll get it ready.... we could get a turn in every couple of days.

Egads. I remember staying up pulling all-nighters playing that game.

Ah, back when I was younger...

Any takers? I can guide through ICQ as well. :) A game like this is usually a one turn affair per day (takes about 5 mins) and can last 1 month. Email the turn every other day. It be should fun.

Which version of the game are you running, i still should have the original discs somewhere but I'd thought there was an open sourced version of the engine available now too?

I'm using the disk version. I have the original CD version too - but the discs are fine. If you are interested I could zip the lot up in 4Mb. The reason is because I can set the map up in the mis and ger folders. So all you'd have to do is start the game and start map 1 or just load if its your turn. It works perfectly in dosbox.

Any takers for a multiplayer PBEM style game? :)
