    Hi all

Im looking for advice about bottled water to make up formula. The water in our area isnt great and even boiling it doesnt make a huge difference. Can anyone recommend a bottled still water that is low in nitrates etc.

    Even filtered water isnt great.

    Thanks

If it is a local problem may your local health nurse will be able to point you in the right direction. why not give them a call.

If her diet is affecting her skin you may be able to get donated expressed breastmilk, though Ireland is ridiculously under-equipped in this regard (one damn milkbank in Enniskillen serving the entire island is close to criminal, but that's another rant).

Some low-mineral bottled waters apporpriate for use in making up formula have a picture of a baby's bottle on the label.

if you can't find an alternative.....evian is the best bottled water for babies as it is very low in sodium.

used it a couple of times on our daughter when we were on hols. didn't have any problems.

    hth!

You may want to look at multi-stage reverse osmosis filters too. They filter out basically everything and fit under your sink. Initial cost is around 300 euro (I think) and around a tenner a month after that.

I'v found that Evian is really the best option.
Had premature twins with lots of digestive problems years ago and Evian (combined with soy formula) was really the only thing that worked..
