My brother has behavioural problems. He is the most intelligent and kind-hearted person I know though, he just has a flaw. He can really relate to spiritual healing, and I think if he saw someone renowned and good, who could get through to him, he could transcend his difficulties. He is a raki master himself. Feel free to reccommend counselors abroad too.

    Thanks.

I would suggest having a look at the charter at the top of this forum for suggestions on conventional counselling. If anyone has other sensible suggestions, then please feel free to post. Or if it is more suited to another forum, then please let us know.

If he has had rekik atunements then I would suggest that he get in touch with his upline and ask them for a referal.

Approximately how old is your brother... and what are his behavioural problems? I might be able to point you in the right direction.

I'd suggest recommending that he just get to know himself rather than rely on an external influence of some 'guru' or 'counsellor' to provide a quick fix tbh.

I'm not sure if it's apropriate to discuss these matters here, if the mods prefer they can transfer to spirituality, thought I'd offer what I've got.

I did reiki a few years ago too, my employers paid for me to get the certs (masters) I had an interest in spiritual healing at the time. My father had also just passed and someone recommended it would be a good way to help me relate with spiritual aspects I was dealing with at the time.
I figured it would be some meditation work and the like but it turns out it was a little more intensive than I had expected, mostly as it is a concept which adapts itself to a lifelong process.
I took it up sixish years ago (2000-1) and while it seems like everyone and their next door neighbour is a reiki master, any individual working in any sphere of life will undoubtedly tell you that mastery is not something that can be bought or paid for and often takes a lifetime of working at.

While most folk will probably understand the concept of mastering life, I can honestly tell you that six years on there are somethings I'm pretty sure are not worth mastering and reiki is right up there as one of them.

From here on in the topic might be more suitable in a fora which permits open discussion on spiritual matters.

Reiki concerns itself with understanding the energy centres of the etheric body and in that way learning how to incorporate this in the physical for the purpose of healing the self.

Outside of the emotional and psychological aspects of such a practice, those who are familiar with working models of these concepts can relate to the profound physical effects that can also occur as part of the process. In much the same way as having undergone a radical detox program people often find they become highly sensitive to certain substances, specific foods, alcohol especially and even something as benign as smells can trigger reactions.

Similarly, many people find the process has increases their level of sensitivity on 'energetic' levels, to the point where they develop intolerances to other peoples 'energies', places and general atmospheres.
Something as simple as the news can trigger feelings that can be almost imaginably difficult to deal with and very often they might find during these times they are alone in the experience with no one to understand or relate.

Sometimes I think I am so anti reiki movement that I might set up an organisation banning the teachings in Ireland, however the truth is behind the very public face of it there lies a very ancinet and beneficial technique.

Unfortunately, we in the west don't seem to be as mindful of the processes in educating spiritual arts. Many of these traditions derive themselves from tibetan and buddhist practices and in eastern schools of understanding education is a lifetime dedication. In that respect only those who had truly earned their degree through living could be called master and the student would always have experienced guidance, through exmple (as a monk :) )

I can't help but feel that the commercial enterprise's that are our 'spiritual schools' here in Ireland leave quite a big gap that needs to be filled and people are feeling lost for it.

Your brother might be experiencing a lot of things as part of the process of integrating reiki in his life.
there is much more I could share on the subject f it helps, feel free to contact me via pm.
