Hey i got a lovely new set of xs20s for christmas, absolutely amazing i must say, but im looking at ordering more stuff off thomann.
The problem is, i cant decide whether to stick with sabian and get the xs20 fx pack for 177 euro or get a meinl classics fx pack for 98euro??
I heard the xs20 china is very nice but the meinl pack comes with a free 12" china-splash AND is cheaper.
    Help me someone!!???

Also what is the best way to go about choosing a new snare? Materials and size. If it helps i play mainly rock music (i.e. incubus, muse, deftones, korn, foo's,chilis, spineshank, ratm, audioslave, etc etc), but like quite sensitive snares, no price limit. I was considering the joey jordison pearl snare mayb?????

It's fairly simple - go into a drum shop and try some.

I have considered that but its not easy when music shops in this country are often quite understocked and dont have a very wide range to try out. Im just looking for some sort of starting point with regards to shell materials or something.
With regards to the cymbals, nowhere i know of near dublin stocks meinl.

It really depends on the sound you like yourself. Sonor snares sound lovely. But once you get one you can change the sound yourself to suit you.
