Digital photo transfer help

    I have an old PC (cd rom, couple of usb's and not much else and a newish one with cdr writer.
    I have photos on the old one but no i/net and I need to get them onto the new PC.
    I presume I use some sort of USB cable but I'm not sure but some bright spark on here I'm sure will tell me how I get them onto the new PC in laymans talk please :o

    Buy one of them USB Flash Memory, copy the photos on there and then move them onto the new PC. What operating system is the old PC? You could network them with a crossover cable and transfer the files over either if both computers have network cards. There are also USB cables that can be used as a link between 2 computers, Marx Computers have some.

    Old PC is Windows 98, new one is XP.

    okay then buy or borrow a usb flash disk and install this on the windows 98 pc ...

    thats the driver you will need to work the usb stick on the windows 98 pc...
    i would suggest downloading that on the newer pc and burning it to a cd then install it on the old pc.. then stick in ur usb stick and copy over the files and then put the stick in the new pc and copy them over to it..
