    Hello All,

I was just wondering about all you guys (and gals) working with children on a regular basis! Do you pick up more than the average person in flus, colds etc?

Just curious as I have had 4 bouts of illness since September and was wondering if anybody else has noticed similar onsets of illness when they spend more time around the children they instruct?

Do you have any suggestion on how to reduce the risk of picking these up?

Any help would be very much appreciated!

BTW, Happy New year to you all.

    hows she going?

I am teaching and there 700 lads in the school,i get something every other week... not i know that last statement will leave me open to a slagging from roper but i gonna set my self up for it anyways :)

I drink loads of hot water with lemon in it, at least a pint a day, flushes you out ans cleanes you at the same time i believe.

I also take the regular vit and mineral tabelts as well and i find there nothing better than alcohol to kill germs... anyone in the medical field will tell you that :)

    happy new year

My daily diet consists of 1000mg of Vit C, echinacia and garlic. Haven't had a cold in 2 years!

Jesus Paddy, what sort of man do you take me for? That'd be too easy... :D

Yeah Paul I used to get a lot until I started taking a multivit and since then I'm A1 most of the time. Aside from getting the winter vomitting bug on Christmas day there I've been more or less flu and cold free for the last year or two and when I get one it runs its course fairly quickly.

When you're training hard, sweating then going out into the cold, warming up cooling down, being exposed to kiddy germs and stuff you're bound to get something but the multivit has defo helped me.
