    Hi there,

My Norton Internet Security 2006 has finally expired and to be honest, I'm fed up paying Symantec for something that's not that good...

By browsing various threads on this forum I have decided to give AVG Internet Security a go (Trial Version then if I like it $69.95 USD for 2 years).

My question: Would you recommend the above product? Or am I better off with AVG Free Edition + Windows Firewall? Or perhaps AVG Free Edition + <please insert name of recommended free firewall here>?

Thank you in advance for your help/opinion!

I've been happy with avgfree for a long time now with just the windows firewall. If avg ever does pick up on any viruses the free edition can't deal with, i'll just go looking for a third party solution to deal with it

There are a few good free anti-virus solutions. I have Windows Firewall, Anti-Vir and Comodo Firewall and they work very well together. avast!, NOD32 and AVG have all free editions of anti-virus scanners and are also very good.

Thank you for your replies guys! I'll give AVG Internet Security first the, if I don't like it or don't want to pay I might just use AVG Free Edition + Windows Firewall + Comodo Firewall.

    Thanks again! ;)
