Roll on New year's so I can make a go of failing my resolution's !

I'm fed up of their being nothing but ****e left in the shops as , I have money but there's nothing decent to buy!

I feel like i have pickled my insides with the amount of drink I've consumed but added with the variety of xmas food make's it 10 time's worse
I'l never be a glutton and an alco, either one or the other..

I'm fed up staying the oligatory period of time at home and not being able to get mad and leave because it's xmas! and you just know whatever family member it is be it, your brother, sister and mother altogether is bugging you purely because you can't run home screaming without causing riots!

anyway ../rant over..there anything you hate that's to do with the holidays that you can't wait to return to normality

coolsmileygirl my arse, uncoolmoaneygirl more like. So your main gripes are as follows:
    1/ You've lots of money
2/ You've been out a lot over Christmas and have enjoyed a good few drinks.
3/ You want to scream but you can't.

Worst rant ever! Off to the Help Desk with you to demands a username change.

The house is packed most of the time. On top of the 5 who live here anyway, we now have my aunt home from Spain and she's staying here, and my relatives who live in Canada are back too, so that's another 4 people. Then my cousin and my oldest brother are often in the house too (cos they're off work).

So at the peak of it we've got 12 people in a 3-bedroom house. It's f*cking jammers, and the house is filthy!

After around the 4th January, the rellies will be gone home, and everyone will be back in work, and on top of that, my brother will be moving into his apartment, so it'll go from 12 people to 4 people in the house, quite quickly :)

And I'll finally have my own feckin room! Oh joy of joys!

Christmas is good in some ways, but annoying in others :o

I'm looking forward to the shops being back to normal, i.e. no more stockpiling like the famine were coming.

I'm looking forward to getting back to good eating routine. It's not good to find yourself eating chocolates for breakfast.

You know, I used to really like Christmas and still do to a point, but it’s becoming ridiculous and more so as each year passes by. The whole meaning of Christmas is almost extinct. You asked a child these days what’s Christmas about, he/she will say… “To get me playstation 3 or the latest mobile phone”. My point is that Christmas is simply boosted up into a huge marketing racket designed to pull as much money out of your pocket. Hard earned money at that, well for most anyway!?

I mean, I had to start thinking about Christmas last September and I know some think about it earlier that that. You work your bollix off to get a few quid up ($1000’s) all for one day. I don’t know about the rest of you guys, but my stress levels went through the roof this year simply trying to find the time to do the shopping because I am working every hour God sends to pay for the material s hit in which we surround ourselves with and give as presents.

Billions are wasted each year on unwanted presents which is a disgrace when you think about it. It’s a disgrace the amount of money which is spent full stop by each and every one of us at Christmas time.

It concerns me that commercialism has ruined Christmas and any other celebration we have during a year. It’s all designed for you to part with your hard earned cash.

Don’t get me wrong, I enjoy Christmas, but hate the fact I am part of the merry-go-round of commercialism. I would be happy to receive a well thought out Christmas card and spend time with family and friends, quality time at that.

I am glad it’s coming to an end of another year at least, but unfortunately it will be back, and when I use the word unfortunately, I mean not Christmas, but all the commercialism and all the pressure on people to part with their hard earned cash and get the latest and greatest in material wants and needs in which we insist on surrounding ourselves with.

Fortunately, for me, I was able to pay for Christmas without going into the red (Only cause I worked a whole lot of nixers). I know many a people who charge Christmas to their card and spend the year playing catch-up only to start all over the following year.

I am not an overly religious person, but I say bring back the real reason for Christmas and try and preserve it for out future generations and leave the commercialism and money to one side and enjoy the time of year for what it should be Jolly and Happy, not sick of eating food and drinking too much and like me complaining about the lost meaning of Christmas….

While CSG is obviously a moany little twat, I think she does have a point about all the food and booze.

My routine for working out seemed to have dropped off the face of the planet, and replaced with excessive eating and drinking. Mince pies, biscuits, and chocolates all washed down with a load of Guinness, Stella, and whatever else has been bought over the Christmas period. I feel like I've ballooned right now, and the past couple of days I've just been so sluggish and bloated, I just feel like I've no energy.

I won't complain about all the food and booze, because hey, it's Christmas, it comes once a year and I really enjoyed it. But getting back into routine now, not eating loads of junk food, and working out daily.

I've still got loads of drink though, so I'll probably be at the very least tipsy for another week or two.

I can't wait for things to be back to normal. My liver is suffering, as is my stomach. The sooner Jan 2nd comes the better. Detox until Paddy's Day, gym 3 times a week - promise!

Christmas is what you make it. Nobody forces you to over indulge or even pay any attention to it. It's like That Mitchel and Webber Thing sketch about reality tv. "Oh my god it's not the reality tv show it's me for watching it".
Honestly nobody bent my arm to join in.

I'm looking forward to a break from the seemingly endless drinking session for a while, theres been one or two breaks in the last month that lasted a day or so, but other than that there's been an absolutely ridiculous amount of time and money spent on boozing it up with my friends, want to get back to eating healthy food too, am kind of sick of eating crap for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Now that silly season is over, it's time for a major clean up chez Mooney.

I'm going to start by hoovering up all those spare apostrophes that are lying about.

The last day of Christmas is January 6th. They may have stopped playing the music, they may have taken down the decorations, the ads may have stopped, people may be throwing out their trees, people may be asking "How was your Christmas?" but it is not over yet. So if someone asks how it has been, tell them what you think and add "so far" at the end of the sentence. I hope you all enjoy the rest of your Christmas. I certainly hope to.

I will be delighted to see the tail end of the Christmas season.

Personally, I have always loved and enjoyed Christmas thoroughly. However, I now hate absolutely to see what Christmas does to quite a number of people emotionally and psychologically for a variety of reasons.

Indeed, I saw one these affected people having a panic attack recently due to Christmas related anxiety. What I saw was scary and I hope not to see it again for a long time.

I suspect that the Samaritans are probably quite busy at this time of year too and I wonder what tells us about this festive season !

If I had one wish for 2007 it would be that all Christmas related advertising should be legally banned until the month of December. I have found this year's aggressive advertising really irritating.

I can't say I'm glad to see the end of Christmas but I definitely agree the whole thing has gotten completely commercialised.

We have too much money in this country and have lost the run of ourselves when it comes to spending.
On the 27th it appeared to me that people were out at the sales buying the gifts for themselves that they hadn't received as gifts from others.

I like getting back to a routine but it was nice to spend a bit of time with family and friends. :)

Here's another - just because the shops have a sale or are closed for a day (i.e. Christmas Day) some people think its the end of the world.

God help them if there ever was a food shortage :D:D

We go on until January 6th. That is the final day, and it will be as much Christmas then as it was earlier in the week. People put up their decorations too early and take them down too early. So basically people start celebrating Christmas before it begins and stop celebrating it when it does. Happy Christmas to you all.

    Fresh bread.

The services getting back to normal.

Theres always confusion about when the rubbish will be collected.
People had their rubbish out far too early again this year.

Christmas is great.... its the only week in the year where you get to get away with being pissed every night of the week, get some bargains in the sales and stuff your face with whatever you like :D

Yeah, can't wait to get back to proper eating.
Cold ham and stuffing for breakfast can't be good.
Nor can the constant takle aways after drunken nights out.
