SMB on Virtual console

Is it just me, or is anyone else noticing a distict lack of Super Mario Brothers on the Shopping Channel here in Europe?

America had their's released on Christmas day along with 2 other games (Who's names elude me at this time) ,where as we got all but SMB.

Anybody have any idea about this one?

yeah, id like a few more, mario all stars would be cool, what was that 4/5 games in one

i also heard super street fighter was supposed to be there, i dont see it?

EDIT: found the lists available in each region

North America - 33 Available

Australia & New Zealand - 28 Available

Japan - 49 Available

Europe 30 Available, should increase to 37 soon

Apparently we will get more on the 29th (Today):

Super Castlevania IV
Super Probotector

Followed by The legend of Zelda: a link to the past - excellent game and Super Mario World in January 2007

Awh, japan gets Mario kart 64 and Zelda II: the adventure of link in January, of course they have every available virtual console available to them.

Would it be so hard to upload them on the same date everywhere

It's quite annoying. From owning a japanese Saturn I know that most japanese action games are perfectly playable in their japanese form with many of them with english options screens. Would it kill nintendo to offer up the unlocalised games to the other markets. I'd even pay extra if they took the time to localise the unreleased in the west classics like the Fire Emblem series.

yes i think it is...surely it aint gotta do with the country cause then people can pretend there in USA to get there games...are you sure you cant find this game

ahhh i see i was thinking it was SMB when i was downloading it and taught this will be class and then it was crap so yes it is Mario Bros sorry for the mix up...Cant wait for SMB then

Isn't there a very simple workaround to allow you to buy games from different regions on the VC?

Only in Australia/NZ. They don't get Turbografx games so they can change to a European country to get them.

All PAL consoles have the list of EU countries + Australia and NZ I think. And don't remember the US or Japan being one of the ones to choose.

Super Probotector didn't actually come out did it? Even though it was on the schedule... I couldn't see it anyway
