Norwegian Lauguage Courses?

Hey guys,

I'm heading over to Norway to work for 5 months from April. Can't wait! I'm a student over in Galway at the minute and I was wondering if anyone knows of any Norwegian language courses I could have a go at? Don't want to be one of those arrogant foreigners who expect people to just speak English all the time to me :mad: - a bit of effort won't hurt! :rolleyes:

Well any advice welcome!

Also if anyone's been to Oslo, I'd love to hear your feedback from it! What the people are like? Food. etc etc

Friends of mine are moving there next year so if you do find a course let me know. Norwegian from the bits I have heard knowing German can help and it has a couple of "Irish" words in it- numbers mainly but they do say brea(good) but no idea of spelling. Aside from Norway being pretty expensive I have nothing more to offer.

I have since come accross a Teach yourself Norwegian package on Amazon (book and CD) which was recommended on my "Rough Guide to Norway" book. I'm going to give that a go! Beging a student it'll probably be the cheapest option too!

That Amazon book is much cheaper if you buy in the "Used or New" section on Amazon. I'm getting it sent from the US for less than half the price, and all through Amazon.co.uk.
