vodafone termination charges

hi all I want to get out of my vodafone contract, so just wondering how much it will cost to get out of it, i started a 18month contract(silly me!)in april this year, so was thinking of going down to lowest tariff(€19/month), would this affect the termination charges, has anyone been in a similar situation? regards damo
