ok got a x1900xt and cant get it to clone the tv without my lcd also going to its resolution . my old card x1800xt when i set it up (cant remberr now) it used to show the tv on lower res then the lcd and when i would play a movie it would automatically adapt. im using catlalyst control center any ideas ??

Gah i know how to do this. Only problem is i need to be infront of my pc with the ati card. But im out of the country atm.

The only thing that stands out in Catalyst Control Centre is under the Display Options section there is an option to force detection of TV when connected. Worth a try

I'd try to help more but I cant really move my rig near my TV ATM as its in a delicate state.

If I think of anything else I'll post back.
