second controller wont work

hey everyone... happy xmas etc etc

i got a second wireless controller for my xbox from santa and the damn thing wont connect to the xbox... yes i know i should turn it on press the button on the xbox and then the small button on top of the controller to connect it... but that just wont work. has anyone else had the same problem and if so 'gis a shout.

i think you need to pres the two buttons at the same time. Sorry for stating the obvious but is the battery pack charged or is the batteries in the right way

Had the same problem with a second wireless controller. For some reason it finally synced/connected when I held the button in on the wireless controller. ??

Its kinda hard not to seen as nearly every second post is a "how do i" and it seems its the same question being ask multiple times a day! I have already asked a mod to see if a few stickies can be made or someone thats active on the forum with some knowledge be given the opportunity to help out.


OP. Are you sure you the controller has enough battery power to allow you 2 sync? Are both the controller and console leds spinning after you press the sync buttons? Do you have the plug in adapter for the rechargeable battery? if so try sync with it plugged in.

with regards to my post.... the search was not working on the forum yday so i couldnt find anything without trawling through hundreds of google searches. sorry if i pissed anybody off. but i was in fact raging and still am because i had to get a new one. i held the button in etc etc. brought it back to hmv today and alas the new one works

When the servers can handle the load probably. The bigger boards gets the bigger the database gets.
