    I need a phone to use with voip and skype and stuff like like that but I also want one that will plug into a conventional phone line.
    All I've found are the ip phones but I'm not sure if they are the same thing as the USB connection.
    Has anyone got one similar or know a good one to go for??

    Thanks

    I use the Vtech 7100 & have had no problems with it.
    It's a standard + Skype + Cordless RJ11 & USB Phone.

    I know you want a standard phone too but bare in mind that the Logitec Premium USB Headset 350 is about the best for clarity.

    I have used a few...

    Using Voip...Broadband->Switch->(ata or IP Phone)

    The one I bought first was from a comapany called sipura http://www.sipura.com/products/spa1001.htm

    Small little thing..once I worked out how to use it, and set it up with settings for Blueface...been working great since...bought it from Komplett a whiel ago, but they have stopped selling them

    I have since bought a number of IP Phones, for friends called the
    Grandstream BudgeTone 101 VoIP Telephone ...Again from Komplett..easier to set up and they show you how on the blueface web site.

    If you are not sure how to go about it or just want a easier option, a idea would to buy something from your voip provider so the hardware is pre-configured like here

    Enjoy...

    EDIT

    By the way these are VOIP phones...Not Skpe phones..

    Some of the above people make phones that use IP and normal analog line if needed...

    So is a ip phone the same as a usb phone??? I've heard of direct ip dialing but I want to use this with at least 3 different progams but also want to plug my own phone line into it. The vtech seems to be the job but I can't find it in eu shops. This http://svp.co.uk/products-solo.php?pid=1964 seems to be pretty good but again I don't really know enough about them.
    Thanks for the replies, anything helps
