    What speed do you need in download AND upload for to use skype for making voice calls?

    Skype will even work on a dialup connection, assuming you aren't doing anything else at the same time. Ideally you should have at least 64kbps both ways.

    ^^ i dont know ive isdn and it could work a lot better
    too many skips making it unbearable for me
    maybe dual isdn but not sure if its worth it
    anyway my upload is nowere near 64k though
    a very basic broadband in my opinion would be the mininum for a good skype service

    Maybe you have a contended ISDN service.
