360 & PC shared connection?

I got an Xbox 360 for Christmas and I'm trying to set up my network properly. I'm not particularly network savvy, so I'll explain my problems as best I can...

The router I have is a CWR-854 Wireless-G Router. My PC connects through this wirelessly using the BT ZyXEL as a bridge. It has worked OK for about 18 months now. I've set up my 360 in the same room as the router and wired the connection. I'm able to connect to Live perfectly as far as I can see. I set up a ID and was able to downloaded a few demos with no problems.

However, as soon as I turn on the 360 with the ethernet cable plugged in, the wireless connection to my PC dies.

Am I missing some vital setting somewhere that will allow both machines to connect to the Internet at the same time? Or is the router a POS (it's got good reviews on Komplett, but I'm not sure of elsewhere) that requires replacing perhaps? I also tried to connect the 360 to the PC to get pictures and music streamed, but to no avail.

Sorry if this has been asked before, I tried the search function, but the drop downs didn't drop when I clicked on them. And Google didn't turn up much either, maybe I'm searching the wrong terms.
