Just bought a Targa 40" lcd TV model 4010 in Lidl. Does anyone out there have a code for the Sky remote control to operate this model? The only code I could find was for the 3210 model but this doesn't seem to work on the 4010 model.

Are you using 672 as the code.
It can help if you reset the remote to its default setting first before entering your code. To perform a RESET press [TV] and then hold [select] and [red button] together for around two seconds (until the red light blinks twice). Now press 999 (red light blinks once for a long time and then twice quickly). The remote is now reset to its factory default settings.

3 Digit Code Remote Set Up

    1. Turn on your TV.
    2. Press tv on your Sky remote control.
    3. Hold down select and the red button together for about two seconds, until the red light on the Sky remote control blinks twice.
    4. Key in the three digits of code(672) for the manufacturer of your TV; the red light on the Sky remote control will blink twice.
    5. Press tv and try the handset, using all the function buttons like power, volume and channel etc.
If it dosen't work then you need to try another code

Thanks for the reply scart. The code that I originally found for the 3210 model was 672 but this did not work. I have tried the reset to factory settings you suggested and then the code 672 but still no luck.

One thing I did notice when doing the reset was that the red light blinked twice when I entered the 999 code. However, it did not blink twice when I entered the 672 code.

    Any ideas?

Benjy you could try contacting Targa http://www.service.targa.co.uk then go to e-mail support section and ask them the question of what code to use with the sky remote or if they dont know then is it a rebranded TV and who is the manufacturer.
Let us know how you get on....

press select after entering 672...this stores it.

Tried a friends new (replacement) sky remote and it successfully stored the code 672 and then operated the TV. Tried the same thing again on my (much older) sky remote & still nothing. Looks like its a visit to Argos for a new remote.

Thanks to everyone for their replies.
