    Will customs get you with a package coming from the UK?!

    Thought they couldnt do that - EU and all that?

    Play.com is located in Jersey which is not part of the EU. If you order something valued more than €22 you run the risk of extra charges from Irish Customs and severe delays to getting your DVD's.

    thats a real bitch...........but do play not charge vat now ........or if not whats the point in you having to havve the euro sgin on in order to be able to buy stuff?

    They do not pay VAT. The euro thing is purely their doing you either accept that or shop elsewhere.

    I assume there is some fiddle with exchange rates, or they are getting a more favourable CC merchant rate for taking euros. Who knows?
