When i was on the internet on my wii it just froze and i pressed the reset button but it wouldnt turn off. So i had to pull out the plug. This happened twice. And then i was playing cod3 and then it froze and there was a pretty loud buzzing noise had to pull the plug again. Whats wrong with it does this happen to anyone else? should i get a new wii?

Did this all happen in the same gaming session? maybe it was overheating. I havent a clue if wii's have a problem with this, but if they did it would certainly freeze up. If they dont, Well, unless you like your consoles freezing, I'd suggest bringing it back ;)

It's only the initial wave of the consoles release, so there are bound to be problems popping up in random consoles.

This is actually the first problem I've heard of. I'd say try bring it back too. I'd imagine the shop will try to pass responsibility on to the manufacturer and make you send it back. I'm not sure exactly if you can pin them down on it, but that consumer information lady on the tv said you're entitled to! :o

Don't let the shop fob you off, your entitled to a full refund if you want, but they should replace it within like 10 seconds.

It is the browser. It is not gold version yet, so can crash if used on certain sites. I got the same on http://genikids.co.kr/

If you hold the power button in for 4-5 seconds it should switch itself off.

Yeah the old one finger salute always does the trick.
But I'm finding it very weird that you are experiencing this.My Wii has never crashed.(Touches wood)
I would bring it back just to save any possible trouble further down the line when warranty is up.

CoD 3 is full of bugs so I wouldn't worry about it crashing.

It is the internet browser. It is still work in progress. You want try a crash, go to a very intensive flash site with javascript and try reloading it a few times.

obviously dont know your rights there..

you are entitled to a replacement. that is all. if they dont have and wont have a replacement in stock you can get a refund. but you have to remember most shops just sell the products. you yourself have to get in contact with the company for some products. if they provide the replacement service youll have to wait for them to get one.
