I brought my laptop home with me from the states as I will be working from here for a few days. I also decided it was a good idea to leave the power lead in the states! Anyone know if I can buy a lead here for it. I don't want to blow it up!

check the label on the power supply
if it says 100-240v 50-60hz it should be fine

if it says 110v 60hz only it will not be fine

two power supplies i have here (sony/dell) are us and eu compatible, I would guess most are

edit: it was late last nice and misread your post, laptop power supplies are usually 220/110 compatible so picking up a supply for your model laptop should work fine, where ever you are, like said below

Should be okay to get an EU power cord for it.

Thinkpad power supplies are dual voltage. You should be able to pick one up on e-bay.

I used to have a few old thinkpad power supplies lying around - I'll have look.

Ah, those were the good old days when the employer would give three power leads with a laptop - for work, home and travel. :)
