Thinking of getting it this Wednesday. What are your opinions? I only want it for the net, music, and Football Manager, as well as a bit of music recording. When I go to college next year Works should come in handy too.

No, not a particularly good deal at all. Same price would get you a better laptop from DELL and something a bit better from PC World as well. I wouldn't bother with it for any reason.

Yes.. its even cheaper than the cheapest Dell laptop.. the 1300 when you make it a dvdrw and 60gb hard drive (499 before any canges).

You could bring it down by reducing the warranty though.

grand for what you want.. though unless Celerons have changed recently the batter life will be rubbish.

Well I have €800ISH to spend. Am heading to PC World and Harvey Normans tomorrow to have a look at what they have, neither have paricularly good websites. Actually, Harveys don't have an Irish one at all!

As for Dell. My friend had trouble with them. They said his laptop was water damaged, though it didn't work when he got it. They were right pricks!

Was looking at Macs but they seem to be mad expensive.

Any recommendations for a good laptop in the price range I'm at?!

haha it seems everything is blamed on water damage, all my droped phones were blamed on that too! I have this laptop, got it for Christmas and I haven't had a problem with it. If you're not looking to run too many applications at the same ytime then you shouldn't have a problem. :)

PC Worlds website is always months out of date. They have some good deals on laptops right now though.
