Problem with Cowon iAudio X5

Switched on my iAudio the other day to find it was taking ages to start up, and when it finally did I got a "root-no file" message. All my music and movie folders were nowhere to be found, yet my voice recordings and pictures were all grand. Then when I connect it to my computer everything is there, perfectly.
    Any ideas anyone?

Have you upgraded the firmware recently? If not, try that. If so, try downgrading it.
