Anyone know of a way to have 2 windows live messenger accounts open at the same time? This is because I have different people on different accounts and want to keep them separate?

yep agreed. use msn for one. And a 3rd party instant messenger for the other.

Use Trillian. You can put all your MSN, Yahoo, ICQ etc. in one place and all logged in with different usernames. It's free as well.

I think this is exactly what you need. Its a patch for windows messenger live to enable polygamy. You can get it here just look along the left hand side for the link for Mess Patch. You can then run multiple versions of messenger live simultaneously.

OP, try Messenger Plus!Live, it might do what you are looking for. I am not entirely sure, it has been a while since I used it.
