Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Twas the night before

    http://www.atheistparents.org/index.php
Twas the night before Christmas and out in the barn,
purest Mary and Joseph were spinning a yarn
to account for the bulge in her virginal middle
where somehow a baby had formed -- what a riddle.
"We could say say you were raped," Joseph said, out of breath.
She replied, "even then they would stone me to death --
    unless --"
"Unless what?" he broke in, with a nod.
"Unless I were raped by none other than God."
And thus was begun the long tale of our savior
with his features Caucasian and perfect behavior.
There are points where the story's embellished a bit --
all the parts about angels and wisemen and **** --
but the saga of Jesus has mainly held up
from his first crying fit to his very last sup.
There are some who insist that the story's a crock,
though a great many follow the comfortable flock
and commemorate Jesus's birth every year
with a house full of presents and tons of good cheer
and a big pagan tree and a man dressed in red.
It's a heckuva party -- too bad the guy's dead.

Have a plesant midwinter you lot :)

Could have used a line about Josephs cock.
    :)

There are some who insist that the story's a crock,
(thus denying a role to poor Joseph's cock)
though a great many follow the comfortable flock

Breaks the rhyme scheme, but could be allowed on the basis of being parenthetical.

    cordially,
    Scoffla
