The masses have spoken. It's time for a sticky to help people who want to know the basics. Please chime in with your suggestions and contributions and I'll collate them into one super duper how can I make a modern version of Tubular Bells in my bedroom for €47 thread. Let's try and have it cover techniques and approaches as much as what gear to buy and where to buy it.

I'll gladly contribute, though I'd prefer to write some stuff on electronic music gear and techniques as I don't have a lot of experience with recording/mics etc. I'll send you something after christmas when I'm not at home with the parents on a crappy dialup connection.

Merry Christmas to everyone in the forum by the way!

I'm happy to contribute to this as well. I can cover basic vocal recording techniques if you like? I can do this in the new year.

    Cheers

I can cver something on midi and plug-ins if you want...handy for people using 2 in 2 out interfaces. Or something on microphone technique. I know a bunch of great sites for beginners if you want links.
