Job in Canberra?

    Can anyone tell me anything about Canberra, preferably people who have actually been there as opposed to people saying "I heard it was boring, full of politicians etc etc.." Im going to Oz from end Feb till August and I have the chance to take a 2-month placement in a Comms Engineering job in Canberra. Ive heard mixed reports about Canberra, and if its REALLY boring Id prefer not to go, but the 2 months salary would set me up nicely for the rest of my stay... Plus I plan to come back to Oz in September to finish out my Visa, so this experience might help me land a job down the line... Any advice would be appreciated.

    mate its a hole, went dwn for an interview via bus from Sydney and intended to stay 3 days to get a feel for it, went back the same night, offered job with good money too and had no hesitation to turn it down even though i was really stuck for a good IT job, war musseum is interesting though, i'd honestly avoid it:(
