it's a great laugh, and more to the fact that it comes free with the console.

I hear that it is very good but it looks kinda boring? Is it good

I don't find it that fun really... Every other game has been far more fun to me, Rayman/Zelda/Play are all miles better to me. Thought sports was really quite dull

You thought Play was better than Sports?
I can't say I agree.I thought the games on play were good but they were far more dull than the ones in Sports and had far less depth.
That's just IMO and you're are more than entitled to yours.:D

4 people flailing about in front of a Wii pretending to play tennis is a joy to behold. Well worth a go.

I absolutely adore Wii Sports, I've just finished about an hour of baseball, tennis (just achieved pro status on Tuesday:)) & bowling in single player mode; 'tis brilliant fun trying to build up your score plus it gets quite challenging. But the real fun starts in the multiplayer, it's seriously great craic!

Cremo your very serious about your opinion aren't you you put it in before he asked the question.

I'm not overly impressed by it
    but since its free...
grapgics are crap but i guess thats not what people look for in this game

but i also think some things dont work properly like boxing

Its a game for non gamers. It may be shallow, but the fun of playing it with people who dont need huge depth and controls is what its all about.

You will have more fun convincing people who have never played a console game before to have a go on wii sports, than you would with zelda.

Unfortunately....The world would be a better place if it was Vice versa.

    i agree with Acecard.
i think sports is better than play! i only got play 4 da controller. the pool and tanks are great but i still love the boxing and golf in sports. i had higher expectations for play cos i had to pay for it!

Sports is a brilliant little taster as to what the Wii can do. Its not amazing graphics and the games are definately shallow in terms of skill, but its supposed to be like that. The fact that it comes free with the console just shows that Nintendo wanted a game that would get people excited about the Wii, and thats what it does very succesfully.

I find Tennis to be an absolutely brilliant multiplayer game. It gets really competitive every time we play it. It's surprisingly brilliant for something so simple.

    Drunken Boxing ftw.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 978 ✭✭✭AceCard Jones

My favourite Game on sports is definitely Tennis. With Bowling and Golf second to it.And I agree that Tennis is always great in a multi-player game.It doesn't get boring and is always really competitive.

It's brilliant craic. Need the buddies to really get into it tho, wouldn't be a single player spectacular.

I think it's brilliant. I would have bought it had it not come with the console. Multiplayer is where it's at though like most Nintendo games.

wii sports has been the highlight of the Wii for me so far - it is not visually stunning - granted, but with the customisable Mii characters, the hidden depth in ther games, the trainig challenges, fitness chalenge etc - its just so much fun - i absolute love this game and EVERYONE who has tried it thinks the same - 4 player on tennis/golf/bowling has had me up till 4am the other night - we never managed to leave the housr to go out as we were havingh so much fun - regardless of some of us not even being gamers - and watching (not to mention videoing) friends boxing has us rolling on the floor laughing

Another vote for it here. Didn't think it was gonna be much cop but it comes to life in multi-player, even had my mother playing the tennis!

You never tried two player tennis though. Such a laugh. One of the guys i work with smashed his glasses on the floor when playing it on the pod at work. He was blind until his brother brought in his glasses. You get so carried away and start moving for the ball and stuff. I've almost been punched by many a person at work and by my brother at home.

Yeah my cousin near broke her hand hitting it off the door in wii tenis, and my uncle smashed a vase on the coffee table....

Really wish they'd included online play though, love to play tennis with a few of the lads!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 265 ✭✭klingklang

Wii Sports entertained 7 adults and 2 kids brilliantly all day yesterday and into the wee (wii) hours. Great craic for all - the arcade was complete with Guitar Hero II on a PS2 set up in another room!

    Was great craic all round!

seems i am missing out on the multiplayer cause i never bought a second remote. how much are these and are they easily available??

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 402 ✭✭JM MARCONI

Hi, you can share one remote for GOLF and BOWLING. You can pickup another Wii Mote and the game WiiPlay in a bundle for €55 in Smyths. I think Gamestop have it for €50. You basically get the game for free because the remotes cost around 50 anyway

The game generally costs €10 more than buying the remote on its own.
