Just wishing you and yours a Merry Christmas. Have some turkey & ham, some mince pies, and plenty of Mulled Wine!

(and yes, I know it isn't Christmas Day yet, but it's close enough to warrant a 'Merry Chrismas')

Cheers Myth, there's nothing quite like a bit of festive sentiment. I even told someone today to have a merry christmas, which means the whole malarkey has really gotten to me at this stage.

Turkey and ham, mulled wine and mince pies ftw. This Christmas I plan to eat myeself silly, get pissed and fall asleep on the sofa watching Gladiator. I love Christmas. :)

I'm not going to wish people a merry Christmas yet, but can I just direct all mince-pie-related queries to myself and b.ie curious? There is nothing we don't know about mince pies.

I'm half way through learning how to make them myself. Well, I've found a recipe book.

    Ho ho ho, Merry Everybody!

Merry Christmas from China (we have an exam on Christmas Day!) On the other hand we can skate on the lake and drink hot chocolate... hmm chocolate!

You're quite right. I'm not the biggest fan of american english, so it annoys me when I see myself using it. Bah, humbug.

Bah, humbug. I have to quickly buy presents and see about 20 people in the 24 hours I have before my train leaves tomorrow. GRR.

Have finished all my shopping as of a few days ago, but my brother just rang me up begging me whether I can run down to Nutgrove to pick him up some stuff (he's working and is on from now to 6). On the plus side, he gave me a lot of cash to get whatever I want.

We've also just run out of sellotape, and the wrapping paper supplies are a bit low so I suppose it has to be done.

    Happy Christmas everyone!

I'm feeling very festive altogether. I was at Midnight Mass and was in my aunt's then for supper. I spent Christmas Eve among my family and neighbours, and it was great craic.

Mince Pies: I had quite possibly the best mince pies ever today. They're from George's Patisserie in Slane in Co. Meath. They cost some mad amount of money for a box of nine, but words fail me in describing them. Hats off to George!

There was a lot of foreign people at Mass. And the priest made us all hold hands. And the Mass was conducted almost entirely through the medium of song. Whats happening to this country?

Exactly the same situation with me! It could be for the best, I'd hate to think what Christmas Dinner would be like if I had a hand in it. I can ruin toast...

    Happy Christmas to you all.
