Pubs increasing price of drink

    Are pubs allowed to increase the prices of beverages (alcohol and soft drinks) during the same evening.
    Im not talking about one price change for a particular drink either!

    As far as I know they are, but they're no allowed to lower the prices

    they're obliged to have this increase included on the price lists which should be viewable at the entrance to the pub, if not, you should report them to the office of the director of consumer affairs www.odca.ie from which this is taken:
    Drinks Display Order 1999
    In the case of the Drinks Display Order, licensed premises are required to display both a 16-item list and a comprehensive list on the premises where drinks are sold. The 16-item list must be displayed at the entrance, while the comprehensive lists must be displayed in the drinking areas. If price increases are applicable after certain hours, the list should indicate this.

    ok so how many pubs in dublin actually display there price list outside?

    LOL ya I suppose how many people stop and look a the prices? :)

    I just put me handy in Pocket and pulled out a few receipts from a Pub I was in the other night and there were price hikes for the same drinks so I guess if the owner keeps this up and doesnt reduce the price he'll feel the pinch ;)
