Many thanks to all who turned up tonight. I had a blast and had a lot of laughs between some very high quality poker imho.

We had 2 full tables so to raise 1,100 euros for charity speaks of a quality of character of those people. Everyone who monied left a generous amount for the charity, the last longest winner (Solksjaer) also donated that, one of the winners of the 150 Fitz tournie promised 25% of his winnings and then split the tournie 3-ways and was as good as his word and finally the prize pool generated 500 on its own!

The tournie itself had a lot of play in it (being under no particular pressure I played santa with the starting stacks too!) and it was played out to the bitter end. BigCityBanker and I drew each other in the last longest so when Richie was knocked out 4th leaving us two and Karl H it looked like collusion might be in the air but no such luck as BCB knocked me out in 3rd (thats a 2nd last year and a 3rd this year, "frustrated" isnt the word!!). Then BCB hadn't even the good grace to go on and win it for me, running AK into Karl's slow-played AA after a ding dong headsup battle.

Sick-beat of the night was going to go to Olly when his AA collapsed to AQ (QQx flop.... euw!!!). Until we got this hand:
    AQ vs QQ
    Flop Axx
    Turn Q (!)
    River A (!!)
For anyone counting thats a three-outer on the flop, a two outer on the turn and a one outer on the river! Who says offline poker isnt rigged!

Anyway, I'm sitting up to my oxters in toys, books, games, DVD's, playstations, lego and plastercine all for delivery tomorrow (I have some pics of it all!). Now I have to go spend another 1,100 thanks to you guys!

    DeV.

1 outer on turn, 2 outer on river i think.

halfbaked is a bad bad man, BCB worse for being the dealer.

Was good craic all the same

Well done lads, was trying to make this but a mixture of shopping and a cold from hell denied me.

Dev, can you give me a link to throw some cash at please?

Well done to Dev for organising this and for his continued charity work. This was a very enjoyable game with everyone in good spirits and plenty of chat all around. The final table looked like it would never lose a player and then once they loosened up a bit we lost them like flies. Halfbaked has retained me as his official dealer of choice only to be used when his arse is well and truly nailed to the felt.

Karl completed his small blind with AA when I look down at AK and announce all in "WHAT! your all in? eh call" and flips over AA - play had to be delayed for 3 minutes as myself and Dev picked Karls jaw from the felt. As things settled down and Dev was about to deal the flop I wondered after seeing the two sick AA hands earlier in the night what % favourite I was going to the flop  . Unf Karl outdrew me on the flop when a distinct lack of K's played to Karls advantage!! Being such a big fav preflop I was naturally very disappointed to take such a sick and cruel beat!! :p

well done all and a Happy Christmas.

    Was it HorsePower?
Well done Karl, thanks for making me a winner....

The feelgood Karma followed me to the cash games, I made a nice tidy profit. So all in all I had a great time last night, for me the only disappointment was the lack of numbers playing the kiddies game. Hoped to see more.

So remember folks what ya give comes back.....So if you are passing the Vinno Da Paulo boyz or Simon drop a few bob their way also ( If a may be so bold as to plug a charity or two)
