hoping to move into our new house this weekend and was wondering if anyone has any miraculous remedy for the dusty cement floors. i will be putting down the floor covering in the new year but in the meantime it will be cement floors.

just wondering if there is something that i can spray on the floors that would keep the dust down, some kind of a sealer or something.

    cheers

Just give them a coat of diluted PVA adhesive, 1 part PVA to 5 parts water. Available in any decent hardware/diy shop and can be applied by brush or roller for a dust-free Christmas.

We used PVA (PolyBond) also. We mixed it up in a bucket (mix it with water - is like a white watery milk) and applied it to the floors with a mop and just threw it the bucket and mop afterwards. Takes no time to do and just let it dry out for about and hour. Seals in all the dust
