Okay im in empire atm with my main, if anyone is in the kor-azor region give me a shout at about 7 or so and we'll go hunting, i have an iteorn V ready for pick-ups also.

convoy raiding is not profitable.

1. you have to sit idle for a long period while the convoy gathers.

2. you need to know what station its going to.

3. if you hit the convoy at the wrong time you are toast.

4. most of the cargo is worthless.

(edit) 5. you will very quickly lose standing (i lost 2 points for killin 7 convoys)

If you read the whole thread most pretty much say that, however some convoys spawn items that have an insane price. One guy said at one point he was making as a newbie 10 million an hour before others copped on and started looting the convoys (and later nerfed making 2 billion before they did).

But yea its a noob alt pasttime.
