I want to buy a memory stick for a xmas present. Unfortunately, i know nothing about them. I cannot find a USB port on my friends computer who i want to buy it for. It is an old computer - does every computer have one? all i know is she has windows 98.

    thanks

Look for the port on your friends computer matching the one below. Most computers these days have them. A computer with Windows 98 might not because USB wasn't really supported too well until Windows 98 Second Edition. If you give us the make/model of the computer, some of us can try and work it out and see if you would be able to buy an addon card so you could use USB devices on the machine.

Are there any of these, in your friends machine?
