I've been having lower gum pain for about 5 days so far. My dentist appointment is for Jan 1st, but any1 have any info or help before that?

I have a dull constant pain in my lower gums (around the center middle 4-5 teeth)

I think its the frontal area because when I fold my lower lip down, the gum and inner lip is all red and veiny. Also there like white spots right below the teeth areas. I dont think this is normal no?

also yesterday my tooth started to bleed (last tooth on the right side bottom.)

Um some more info: I rub my tongue under my UPPER lip and its normal and smooth - I Rub my tongue under my LOWER Lip (which incidently is the area that hurts) and its all textury and tender, especially the place where the lip meets the gum.

Can anyone please help? I apologize for the quality of pics - I REALLY would like some help Please. Please Please Please.
Im 19 - havent had any wisdom teeth pulled yet, dont THINK i have bad teeth - brush once a day (yea i know thats bad) but i dunno if its gum disease?

Nobody here can provide a diagnosis for you as this is not allowed. If you can't get an emergency appointment before Jan 1st, go to your GP and discuss intermediate pain treatment with him/her.

There are so many things this could be that it is hard to diagnose from pictures (and against forum rules too tut tut). Some possibilities are 1. Simple gum infection or Gingivitis, 2. Lip string pulling on the gum 3. Dead tooth causing infection 4. Trauma 5. Who knows? I think you should ring your dentist the see if there is anything sooner...if not and if it is really painful only, you can try the dublin dental hospital. If it not too bad maybe if will be OK untill Jan but if you are worried about best get it checked out. If I were you I would not be too worried...but please please seek professional advice in a dentists office.

I suffer a lot with mouth ulsers and I use stuff called "Ginigel" it comes in liquid or gel.. I find the liquid best cause you can swish it around ur mouth, it tastes foul but I find it works really well at healing your gums.. its a bit dear though €11.50 or thereabouts... You can get it in Boots..

Or corsodyl mouthwash (you can get it over the counter). I had gum disease a few years ago and found that aided things.
Is there no other dentist who can fit you in as an emergency?

Sorry but you'll have to leave it to the pros.
