    this version of recode comes with nero now, trying it out and it can easily edit mce's dvr-ms files and burn them as dvd movies


    you can even do a lot of stuff from within mce, great news for people who want to distribute something they taped, or to keep a permenant copy

    its very fast too, took me just over 40mins to tidy up and burn a 2hr movie

    I think you mean Nero Vision not Recode ;)

    Does it add some sort of MCE plugin, I never bothered putting Nero on my HTPC before sort of a burn & convert straight to DVD option in MCE or something like that ?

    just to add...

    its causing a lot of bsod's on vista, dont want to use it on my media center as its a 3ghz p4 (this pc has an x6800@3.2ghz)

    That I am not surprised Nero & bugs go hand in hand they can never put out anything stable only after the 5 or 6th release in that version they actually start to squash the bugs. Until of course they get the bright idea to add a new feature and the cycle starts over again.
