classical gold 50 cd set

I seen the classical gold 50 cd set in xtra vision the other day and I was thinking of buying it as a christmas gift, since I don't have much of a notion when it comes to classical music I was wondering did anyone know if it was any good? or does live up to its €24.99 price tag?

With most of these sets you get what you pay for.

Most of these CD's wouldnt be the original artist anyway just various others playing their stuff.

Now when it comes to classical I have no idea so it could be different.

... now i'm not even really sure what my point was
