Okay i really didnt know what to do with this hand. I know i have to be pushing QQ, its criminal not too isnt it. I was certainly out to win this but ive had a bad day yesterday, my 1st day making the move to $50 and i was anxious to get in the money too. What do you do in this situation, I can easily fold and still make the money, i can go all in and still be in with a shout of making it in the money if i lose and if i take this hand im a big favourite to take 1st place.

    $50 Tribeca STT
Holdem No Limit - $300 BB

    BB ($5,420) [XSoLdIeR11x ]
    CO ($8,660) [Hero]
    Button ($2,540) [ellishouse ]
    SB ($1,380) [porkfry ]

Hero is CO with Qd, Qs
    Preflop: (4 players, $450)
    Hero calls 300 and raises 600, 2 folds, XSoLdIeR11x calls 600 and raises 1,600, Hero ???

BTW XSoLdIeR11x called an allin on his first hand with KQo and again later against me with KQo and Slowplayed KK's in the 3 hands id seen shown down by him

    Push it defo.
If he shows AA or KK, then unlucky
If it AK, then be happy with the race
If you win you will have 14k out of 18k in play, and are ITM
If you lose you will still be 2nd in chips. with c.3k
    Push push push

every reason to call here - he's the BB (defending), no-one else to act, and he's pushed with muck hands already, whilst getting tricky with monsters, also
if you loose to maybe AK (or prob A rag in his case) - you are still a good 2nd in chips

is your SN private?? I sometimes play 50$ STTs on Tribecca (mainly 100/200) - i'd pop in and say hello!!

    I'd push all day long.

Are you sure your ready to play $50 stt, judging by what you say it seems that the buy in is affects you. The worst thing to do is play scared. If you feel anxious, maybe bit more grinding out at $20 might in order.
Are there not any stt available between $20 and $50?

Theres a $25 one, which is pointless. as its so close to $20, yet miles away from $50. could probably be more use as $20, $35, $50

Standard push, especially if you've been laying down hands to re-raises (have you?).

yeah its a push, you seem very anxious to make the money so you can/or did call and get out if an A or K hits the flop

Scorch the virtual felt. As an aside, I much prefer raising to 800 at this level for some reason.

This is how she played out. I figured i couldnt not push all-in with QQ but because this is my 2nd try at $50 and my first wasnt successful and my 1st day on the 2nd attempt i was down $250 after some horrible bad beats, but i knew i was playing well and won $100 back yesterday so im feeling more confident plus i have a bigger bankroll this time. The bad day before was playing on my mind, and i just didnt want to suffer another bad beat. I agree when im thinking like this i should be dropping back but i made the correct decision and things seem to back on track so ill keep battling away. Got very lucky with the flop, turn and river on that hand as youll see below and went on to win that game:)

Just wondering though what you would do in this situation with AK instead of QQ would you still be willing to take a race, would you be looking to get all in preflop or call the raise and see the flop, i guess id be calling the raise and see how the flop went before id consider getting all in.

    Flop: 5c, 8h, 7c ($14230)

    Turn: 4c ($14230)

    River: 6d ($14230)

    Results: XSoLdIeR11x has Kd, Kc

This is an autopush. You shouldn't be playing $50 stts if you're considering folding these sort of hands to guarantee a cash IMO.

    Automatic Push for following reasons;

    1) Villain has been calling all-in raises very loosely so a re-raise to protect the BB is a distinct possibility.

    2) Past history suggest the only 2 hands you fear ( AA, KK ) woul've been slow played.

    3) Worst case scenario of losing the hand still leaves you outstacking the other two players with their blinds coming ahead of yours.
