    I've officially given up. Been so close so many times. Had people trying in the UK, Austria and Germany. At this stage I've decided to get a different console, maybe a 360. It cant be that good anyway and all this hassle to get one aint worth it!

    Did you not pre-order it?

    You should know that pretty much every console is in short supply when it first launches.

    The 360 has a fairly good catalogue of games behind it at this stage though.

    I dunno how you're finding it so hard to get one at this stage. My sisters boyfriend was playing my Wii on Sunday and liked it so much that he rang Game in Liffey Valley while he was driving by and they said they had some. So he popped in and got one there and then (They had a few in stock). Most places are getting deliveries before the end of the week so don't give up just yet. Try the big shops like Smyths or Game from now until Friday... if you don't get one by then I'd give up.

    I was such a skeptic when I heard my brother was getting one..

    but i've been converted. The wii is awesome.

    Yeah, I guess I should have known to preorder, its just I havn't been a gamer since the days of Super Nintendo. The Wii just appealed to me because it was different. I like the idea of downloading the likes of super mario kart, that rainbow road and the ghost tracks!!

    Try GAME in henry Street tomorow. Heard a guy say that they will be giving away un=collected pre orders!

    Have you tried Mario Kart DS? It has the best tracks from the previous Mario Kart games in it. :D Including the SNES Ghost track :D

    ^^ ya thats my fave mario kart by a mile also

    the vc range in europe is preety poor at the moment
