Mac OSX and Windows gamepads

    Hi All
This is probably a stupid question, so apologies for wasting your time in advance, but will a USB pad, like say this one, that comes with Windows drivers and software, work with a Mac running OSX? As in, can I just plug it in and have all the controls work? I'm not bothered about programming commands or anything like that.
Furthermore, would it work with emulators, as that's probably what it'll be most used for?
    Thanks.

Pick up a wired Xbox360 pad. It's USB, and there are drivers for OSX. Full support for buttons, analogue sticks and rumble.

That's a good idea, thanks for that. But would it work with any generic USB pad, or do you need specific drivers?

Just bring it back to shop if it doesn't work/you don't like it.
    *shrug*
The few USB pads I've tried seemed to work no bother; the problem was the emulators I used -- all but SNES9X don't seem to support gamepads w/out (paid) software :(
Also, the d-pad on the official 360 pad is fvckin' horrible! (3rd-party might be better here)

I have a Saitek P990 gamepad and it works just fine. Any USB gamepad should work. No drivers needed. However I've heard for some unsupported apps you may need to install Gamepad Companion.

    Thanks guys.
I picked up a Logitech Dual Action pad, as it's been recommended as working well, so hopefully that'll do it.
