I got a tip this morning for southwell 2.15. Now this morning it opened up at 12/1 (i got it at 9s) but throughout the day it was being backed and just before race time it was down to 5/1. The race was abandoned. What happens now? When it races again will the odds be sh1te?

    Cheers lads.

Depends where it runs again. But the cat is somewhat out of the bag, and bookies might price the horse up a little shorter than it should be.

    Here's a similar example.

Last week King John's Castle was forecast to be about 8 or 9-1 for a race at fairyhouse. The punters backed him off the boards throughout the day. The meeting was abandoned and when the race was re-run on the wednesday they made him morning price favourite. (He pulled up in the re run race). It's an interesting discussion topic all the same and I'm not sure how things are different for the AW...maybe the bookies will forget about the gamble in a few weeks time....

Unfortunately they look like they've blown their cover, no hope of 12s next time out.
