Once your monitor has a vga connection (most do) all you need is one of these http://www.play.com/Games/Xbox360/4-/719745/Official_XBox_360_VGA_AV_Cable/Product.html

You can get them in any games shop.

my tv is near 10 years old.
would,nt i need one of those little adaptors for the vga cable,as theres no vga slot on my tft, theres only a cable coming from it that plugs directly in to my computer.

would,nt i need the adaptor to plug in my cable from tft to the cable coming from the xbox 360?.

does gamestop sell these cables and adaptors? or any pc shops?.

Game and gamestop both should have Xbox360 vga cable, if your tft has a a dvi connection then you need a vga to dvi adaptor maplins or peats sell them. Most pc shops should have them.

you can unscrew the cable coming from the tft that plugs into the pc. Game sell the VGA cables but they are cheaper online. If you want it for Christmas then you would be better off getting one in Game.

Yeah Gamestop sell them, as do game, hmv, and maybe xtra-vision. It Should be €30. I got the cable and it comes with some adaptor (not sure whats its for but ill check for ya when I get home). If that one doesnt work then most computer shops should be able to help you out.

thanks for the replys lads, just one more question my tft does not have a dvi connection it just has the cable coming from it that connects to my pc,will i need the adaptor to plug my cable coming from tft to connect to the xbox vga cable?.

or will the xbox 360 vga cable plug directly in to my tft cable?.the cable coming from my tft has the pins in it,will the xbox 360 vga cable have the holes or pins in it,if you know what i mean can i plug tft cable directly in to the xbox 360 vga cable or will i need the adaptor to do this?.thanks

To plug a cable into a cable you will need an adaptor. But I am pretty sure you can remove all cables from the back of the monitor and plug the 360 cable into the monitors Vga connection. What is the make of the monitor (name and model?)

You might need an adapter if the cable is built into the monitor.
You can get them in peats/maplin etc for a few euro.

If its displaying in black & white on the tv when the x360 is set to 60hz, then your tv probably doesn't support it, most tv's these days do.
However only a few of the X360 games will run at 60hz, most will run at either 50 or 60 I believe.

The adapter comes with the official cable for that.

What might also be the problem is the scart connection for the 360. Now this might not be but I remember from the PS2 days (when it was chipped) when playing region 1 games and dvds that the scart connection didn't have enough pin outs for it to display stuff in color so i had to go buy one with more pin outs on it. Might be the same for the 360's one??

What ya could try is if that your tv has just the yellow, red and white connections (usually Ext3) is plug into that and try it.

Now that might not be the case as someone else said it could be the TV is not capable to display it.
