Hi, does anyone here know how to play Age of Empires 2 over the internet against each other in a multiplayer match if say one person was using a bought version of the game and another was using a cracked version....Theoretically of course...

well im guessing here but you could maybe try gamespy arcade?
MSN gaming zone is where i used to play it along with BOTF....
    R.I.P MSN Gaming Zone

Edit: i didnt read the your full post all i saw was something about age of empires online and my mind started to wander....

anyway with a game as old as Age of kings i don't see the problem what is it 7 euro? three for 15 euro? you cant be that cheap can you?
    just have 2 pints less
or 2 boxes of smokes less
    or a few doobies less
whatever your into just do a TINY bit less of it and you can own the game.
