    Hi,

I ran the marathon this year and raised about 700 euro for charity (St Lukes hospital ). I've heard that it might be possible to claim a tax refund on this amount (which I intend to give to the charity also).

Does anybody know if this is true? And if so how would I go about it?

    thanks

I imagine you need evidence of this. The charity I support sent me a summary of what I had paid, a receipt in effect, which I added in my tax returns. I didn't send in the receipt.I am not sure about PAYE and I would suggest calling Revenue on that.
