    /// BACKLASH /// NYE /// Rogue 31.12.06
Adm 10eu. Advance tickets from Rogue this Thursday + Bernard Shaw Pub

Backlash is known for throwing a good party, this is our first solo NYE party & its gonna
be a good one. Doors open at 9pm & admission is only 10eu

For for your entertainment we shall have:

    Hystereo (Live)

Now based in Paris, we're delighted to have Hystereo (aka Jack Byrne Murphy and Conor Murphy)
jet back over to Dublin headline our new years eve party at Rogue

Jack and Conor have been working together for over six years, a mutual love of house, hip
hop and techno brought them together, fuelled with a disregard for the multi-national monopoly
they have created an album with a biting anti-global ethos!

The music speaks for its self though. Fizzing electronic-house packed assaults like crazed title
track ‘Corporate Crimewave’, and album of the same name that featured singles like ‘Validity
Revision / Resistance’ which received single of the month from sites like Play Louder as well
as 4 & 5 star reviews accross the board. And the menacing ‘Executive Memo’ are the equivalent
of an aural armageddon rocking beat bonanza’s riddled with synth cyclones to make the floor go boom.

With their early work picking up plays from DJs as varied as Pete Tong and Rob Da Bank on the
way, this was a taster of what was to come, arousing testament to the bold diy attitude of their
music and an exciting addition to the companies of house.

Their influences are rooted in disco, house, electro and techno, their sound is raw and energetic,
vivacious and corrupt. Glued somewhere between Vitalic’s rampant style and George Clinton’s
Funkadelic output, or as Jack puts it “crunchy housey technofied crazy disco synth-hop
overdrive!” Hystereo have the fever, and it’s contagious!

    Les Bien (Live)

One of the most exciting new acts we've heard in ages. Their vocodered funk & disco grooves suck you
in, first your nodding your head then they've got you hooked. They're impossible to categorise and
impossible to resist! An analysis into recent Les Bien activity has seen the boys play a number of
established Dublin clubnights, testing their pseudo funk sex rock beat sound on unsuspecting music
revellers, and injecting these tests with tangible efforts to up the revel factor.
With these musical injections the lads have yielded both interesting and positive results.
Why not test drive a Les Bien at BacKlash NYE in Rogue? and feel for yourself.
