Christmas Double Dole

A friend of mine is receiving the dole. Christmas payments were made on Nov 16th, or so I believe, but he did not receive any double payment. I think he is on UA, as opposed to UB. Would that make a difference?

he will only get it if he is unemployed for over a certain period 6 months i think but im not to sure

No xmas bonus on UB as it's a short term payment. Xmas bonus paid on UA if you are on it for more than 390 claim paid days.
