WOW, it looks good. My dad had one in the same Terracotta colour but it had some extra stripes. Think it was a TARA or CORRIB model. They were badged for the Irish market as far as I remember. The reg was *** NZL. Dublin reg - Possibly 80/81. Anyone know what year?.

........yeah the Corrib had a wide strip, colour co-ordinated and it was sort of like this at each end /// / / /, whilst the Cashel had a thinner red and blue stripe. The Corrib was slightly earlier and it started in 1981. Your NZL reg number is Dublin 1981 !

My neighbour had a brand new Corrib, Tibetan Beige (chocolate brown) with a beige stripe. Quite plush IMO.....541 KZL !

my dada had a cortina like that... with the black plastic seats that would burn your legs.

we used to drive standing up with our arms around the seats in front... no seatbelts!

We also had a brown Escort 5 door 1.3 Laser

    Wasn't there a TARA also?

I always liked that model of Cortina, was it the mk IV or the mk V?
They just seemed real honest workhorse motors, looked solid, altho i guess they were designed by someone with an etch-a-sketch

8~) you're right about the TARA model, was there ever a fourth 'Irish' designation?
