Hey, my sister is doing SocSci in Maynooth, so I asked her about it -she says that it's great, really interesting but you have to be willing to put in a lot of work yourself, cos the lectures only cover a fraction of the course.

If you have a genuine interest in social policy issues (poverty, inequality, how policy impacts different groups in society), then it's great. A lot of the course covers how policy is made by government and different groups in society.
